Art is the essence of knowledge.
Human intellectual activity begins when we remember the first images we meet after birth and try to imitate them. And the need for knowledge lies in sharing. This is where Hooranky’s philosophy of art begins.

His father, Bae Dong-shin
A Painter Who Gave His Life to Watercolour
Hooranky’s father, Bae Dong-shin (1920–2008), was a pioneer of Korean watercolour who raised the medium — once seen as little more than a sketch for oil painting — to a genre of painting in its own right. He painted Mt. Mudeung, the sea of the southern provinces and fruit on a tray with a large brush and swift strokes.
